Delete your AstroKaal account
Permanently delete your account and the data we hold about you.
How to request deletion
Option A — Email request (available today)
- From the same email or phone number you used to sign in, send a message to support@astrokaal.com with the subject
Delete my AstroKaal account. - Include the phone number (with country code) or Google email associated with your account so we can verify the request.
- We confirm receipt within 48 hours and complete the deletion within 30 days, then send you a confirmation email.
Option B — In-app (rolling out)
In the AstroKaal app, open the Profile menu (top-right on the dashboard) and tap Delete Account. You'll be asked to confirm. The deletion executes server-side immediately; you receive a confirmation email when it's done.
This in-app option ships with version 1.8.x. Until your installed build supports it, please use Option A.
What gets deleted
| Data | What happens |
|---|---|
| Firebase Auth identity (phone / email) | Deleted permanently. Sign-in stops working immediately. |
| Profile (name, birth date, time, place) | Deleted permanently from Firestore. |
| Wallet balance and transaction history | Deleted permanently. Any unused balance is forfeit. |
| Generated reports (Numerology, Nadi, Tarot, Palmistry, Kundali, Chats) | Deleted permanently from Firestore. |
| Locally cached reports on your device | Cleared the next time the app launches under a fresh sign-in (or immediately if you uninstall). |
| Crash logs and analytics events | The Firebase user identifier is detached; aggregated, anonymous event counts may persist. |
What we keep, and for how long
- Payment receipts — for up to 7 years, as required by Indian tax and accounting law (Income Tax Act, GST Act). The receipt rows do not contain your name or contact information; they are keyed only to the Google Play order ID.
- Service-side request logs — for up to 90 days as part of normal operations. The logs are anonymised against your deleted user identifier within that window.
Refunds for unused balance
Wallet balance is non-refundable once credited. If you want a refund of any unused recharge before deleting your account, mention it in your deletion email and we will assess on a case-by-case basis. Refunds for individual Google Play purchases follow Google Play's standard refund policy and can be requested through Google directly.
